Founded in 1984, Pittsburg’s Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) acts as the last economic development filter before the city commission. It hears ideas, advises the best course of action by the business owner, and makes its recommendations to the commissioners on how best “to expand the city’s economic base,” as stated in its enabling ordinance.
