David Eugene Kuhler

David Eugene Kuhler, age 67, passed away Aug. 16, 2022 in his RV at Oak Hill Court, Cassville, Missouri.

Dave was born Feb. 13, 1955 in Amarillo, Texas. His parents were Gene and Patricia

(Thompson) Kuhler. He had moved to Galena, Kansas in Aug. of 2020.

Dave was raised in Fort Worth, Texas and moved to the area in 1992. He and his wife owned and

operated Anderson Glass in Joplin, Missouri from Mar. 1, 1993 until his retirement in June of 2022.

He was fantastic at his work and devoted countless hours helping people with the aftermath of

the Joplin tornado.

He was a man who followed Christ. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and doing yardwork, especially taking care of his in-law’s property in Galena. He enjoyed playing the guitar and was affectionately called MoPo by his grandchildren.

Dave was married to LaDonna Kay “Dawn” Anderson Mar. 25, 1988 at A Cave Without A

Name in Boerne, Texas. She survives.

Additional survivors include his children, Darrin Campbell, Joplin, Jace Kuhler (Leslie),Joplin, and Tracy Stojanik (Raymond), Webb City, Missouri; his siblings, Amy Groff (Jerry), Coppell, Texas, Mike Kuhler (Toi), Ft Worth, Texas, and Richard Kuhler (Peaun), Silicon Valley, California; his five grandchildren, Derrek Grisham(Kara), Aidan Good, Ahava Kuhler, Myer Kuhler, and Serenity Whitney, his four great-grandchildren, Dillion, Kayden, Ainsley, and Jaxon; and his special brother-in-law, Kevin Anderson who he loved so much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother in-law, Rev Donald J and Violet

(Rice) Anderson, and three brothers, Robert Kuhler, Steven Kuhler, and James Kuhler.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022 at Derfelt

Funeral Home, Galena, Kansas.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022 at Christpoint Church, Galena, Kansas.

Travis Goad, Pastor Josh Pennington, and Mandy Meadows will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Darrin Campbell, Jace Kuhler, Aidan Good, Myer Kuhler, Ray Mallonee, Rick Bryant, Ray Stojanik, and Kerry Honeycutt.

Private family burial will be on Monday, Aug. 22, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena, Kansas
