Connie Kay Kline, 70, of Pittsburg, completed her life's journey and entered her Lord's presence at 11:58 a.m. on Aug. 14, 2022, at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.

Connie was born on Nov. 20, 1951, to Howard and Bertrude L. (Close) Kline in Pittsburg. She attended Eugene Field Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High, and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1969. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Pittsburg State University in 1972. Her teaching career began in 1973 in Carl Junction, Missouri, where she was blessed to have taught third grade for 31 years, retiring in 2004.

Her hobbies included reading, playing the piano, and building and furnishing a large dollhouse, which she was quite proud of and enjoyed sharing with others. She was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church, a member of Via Christi Auxiliary, and a Sunday morning pianist at Wesley House for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by a multitude of friends who have faithfully remained by her side as "family" and her precious dog, Zadee.

According to Connie's wishes, she has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Hyunjin Cho officiating. A private family burial will be at the Highland Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations to the S.E.K. Humane Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, Kansas.
