Benne Rae Phipps 72, of Pittsburg, Kansas passed away on Thursday May 19, 2022 following an illness.  He was known by many in the community having given 25 years of service in law enforcement for Crawford County. He will be greatly missed.

Benne was born Nov. 28, 1949 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of Bennie M. and Lavon Maurine (Willey) Phipps.  He was a lifelong resident of the Pittsburg area and was a graduate of Pittsburg High School.  On Jan. 17, 1975 Benne married Tish J.
