Posted

FRONTENAC, Kan. — Girard Medical Center announced on Monday an addition to the medical staff. Kay Quick, APRN will begin seeing patients on June 20th at our Frontenac Clinic.

Quick has served the southeast Kansas community as a health care professional for more than 40 years. That includes more than 20 years as a nurse practitioner specializing in women's health with a particular interest in gynecology, pre-pregnancy care and contraception including IUDs and Nexplanon implantable devices. Prior to that, Quick gained years of experience working in general medicine, a hospital emergency room and as part of the staff at Pittsburg State University's health center.

Quick is also board certified and a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health (NPWH). The Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce has honored Kay as one of the community's "Women of Distinction" for her service to community and for teaching future health care professionals.

Quick's passion is driven by the bonds she builds with her patients over the course of their lives -- including multiple generations of some families. Even after moving to other communities, many of her patients choose to travel great distances to continue receiving medical care from her. Qucik has long been highly regarded by her patients and by the area’s professional medical community.

Quick and her husband are long-time residents of Pittsburg, Kansas, and enjoy life with their children and grandchildren.

Quick will begin seeing patients at Girard Medical Center of Frontenac on June 20th. To schedule an appointment please call (620) 235-1377.
